We are having so much fun with Violet on our summer break! She's at the stage where she is trying out lots of new words. Sometimes she gets them, sometimes it's hilariously wrong. The other day, I taught her the word lemon since she likes to play with the lemons we have out in a bowl. She always mixes the sounds, though, so it comes out as mah-ny. She's able to request things by name and it's sometimes a challenge to figure out what she's referring to. "Ray-ah" is raisins and "boot-ah" is bacon. She's even very picky about what books we read her at night. David finally figured out that "yeah, yeah, yeah" is the book
Violet's Music and "doodle-doo" is
Rise and Shine. She absolutely loves bath time and she will run to the bathroom if she hears you say the word. She's figuring out how to jump. She has the motions down, she just doesn't get a lot of air.
We renewed our zoo membership for the summer. Vi is also signed up for 2 weeks of swimming lessons. We love going to the Lakeside Nature Center and the spray park and we are also planning on visiting the Deanna Rose Farm.
