David and I took the day off work on Monday and spent it with the birthday girl.

Whenever she sees a candle she starts singing happy birthday!
Violet has grown into such a sweet little girl. She's talking so much these days and it fond of repeating everything we say. She can be very bossy; sometimes demanding that we "sit down" or saying "no talking, mommy." She also moved to a toddler bed and says "floor" when it's time for bed as a way of asking for us to lay on the floor next to her. She knows her shapes, colors, and lots of animals. She loves reading books and has already started to memorize some of her favorite parts. She has good aim when throwing and is good at catching, too. Her favorite foods are cheese, bacon, oranges, and spaghetti squash. We've even gotten her to eat broccoli (which she calls flowers) and Brussels sprouts. She loves to color and put together puzzles. Mostly, she loves playing with her baby dolls. She rocks them, changes them, does their hair and makes sure that none of them are ever wearing clothes. She's such a bright and happy girl and we love watching her grow and learn every day!
