1st Birthday!

Violet's first birthday was just as wonderful and perfect as we were hoping it would be.  Her birthday fell on a Sunday this year, so we were able to have a party on her actual birthday.  We chose to have a brunch at Grandma and Grandpa Fritz's house.  They have a great house for entertaining and a huge dining room table so everyone could sit together. 

My sister flew in from Chicago and my parents drove over from Springfield.  All of the KC Fritzes were there, of course.  We were so excited that Geena and her parents were able to join us as well.  It was the first time that Violet's entire family was together and I know everyone enjoyed spending time together and celebrating Violet.

We decided to have some of Violet's favorite foods including pumpkin pancakes, cantaloupe, and egg and sausage bake.  We got a carrot cake as her official birthday cake, but her smash cake was chocolate.  She didn't actually eat any of her smash cake, but she did a great job making a mess of it.

It was a great day and I'm so thankful for Violet's big, loving family.
