Over Labor Day weekend, Violet's grandparents and great-grandparents came to Kansas City for a visit! We had a nice time with them and Violet loved being the center of attention. She was our main entertainment for the weekend and she had enough smiles and love to go around. We're so glad everyone was able to make the trip to see us.
Violet has also started crawling on her hands and knees! She used to come home with the fronts of her outfits super filthy from slithering around on the playground at daycare. Now just the knees of her outfits are dirty. We've been trying to stock up on second hand leggings and jeans so she doesn't ruin any of her sweet outfits at daycare.
With crawling comes more bumps and bruises. The cut under her eyes is from falling face first into the corner of her crib. She had already slipped and hit her head on the side of bathtub earlier that night. She's a tough girl, though, and she barely cried. Here's the first video we were able to get of Violet taking a step. A few nights ago, I counted 20 steps in a row! We're going to have to take baby-proofing to a whole new level!
YAY! A blog update! I have to tell you that the numbered blocks on the arm of the chair made me laugh :D So sorry she got a boo-boo, but that comes with the territory. She is growing up much too fast. All those teeth really make her look like a toddler now, instead of a baby. Give her kisses for me, and tell her Grandma loves her xoxoxoxo
