Week 36

Week 36 was a fun (and hot) week!  We had a second week of temps in the 100s.  We celebrated the 4th of July with our dear friends and their children.  4 of the kids that were there will all be in the same grade in a few years.  Let's hear it for the class of 2030!  We also had a great lunch catching up with Geena and enjoyed visiting with Violet's Grandma G beforehand. 

Last Sunday, she started crawling forward!  It's more of an army crawl, but it gets her where she wants to go.  She's into everything and has a fondness for electrical cords.  All of our chargers have slowly made their way into our bedroom and I suspect we may be living with a fewer lamps in the coming months.  She is also able to stand without holding on to anything for a few seconds, as long as her footing is just right.  Today, she mastered the open-handed clap, so she can actually make a clapping sound!
